Terms of Service

By accessing or using Aizumey (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Aizumey. Your continued use of the Service after any updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Aizumey is an AI-assisted resume and cover letter builder. The Service allows you to:

• Create, edit, and manage professional resumes
• Generate AI-powered resume tips and suggestions
• Generate cover letters with AI assistance
• Chat with AI personas to prepare for job applications
• Share resumes publicly via a unique link
• Create and reuse custom prompt templates

To use the Service, you must create an account via our authentication provider (Clerk). You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent that:

• All information you provide is accurate and current
• You will maintain the security of your account credentials
• You are legally capable of entering into binding agreements
• Your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately at contact@aizumey.com.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload or generate content that is false, misleading, or fraudulent
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service without permission
• Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Use the Service for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial resume and job application management
• Circumvent any security measures or access controls

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate resume suggestions, cover letters, and chat responses. You acknowledge that:

• AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that is not appropriate for your specific circumstances.
• AI-generated content does not constitute professional career advice, legal advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in any job application or professional context.
• You must not misrepresent AI-generated content as your own unaided work where doing so would be dishonest or unlawful.

You may choose to make a resume publicly accessible via a shareable link. By enabling public access, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The resume will be viewable by anyone with the link, without requiring login
• The resume may be indexed by search engines
• You are solely responsible for the personal information contained in a public resume
• You should not include sensitive personal data (e.g., passport numbers, national ID numbers, full bank details) in a resume you intend to make public

You can revoke public access at any time from the resume management page. After revoking access, the resume will no longer be accessible via the public link, though copies cached by search engines may persist for a period outside our control.

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to the Service (“Your Content”). By using the Service, you grant Aizumey a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.

All software, design, trademarks, and other intellectual property forming the Service (excluding Your Content) are owned by or licensed to Aizumey. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in that policy.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AIZUMEY AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) £100 / $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aizumey and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence and to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by presenting the updated Terms via our consent gate. Your continued use of the Service after that point constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
